Even in this digital age of better refined strategic thinking or improved fashion of pursuing ldeas, it is (above all) shocking to see folks living in this era still applying out-dated and off-key approaches to attempt to deceive the people.
In this case, some of the persons who were hired to do this poor propaganda that doesn’t score any point have just two major agenda:
First is to satisfy their sponsors and justify the Stepend they got.
Their second mission is to make noise and derive attention and consequent ‘Sorting’.
Well, I am sure that the Senator is neck-deep busy, working out more programmes, projects and strategies for the growth and development of Abia North senatorial zone so cannot be distracted.
It was on this ground that Marcus Aurelius, a wise thinker once said: “I am going to meet people today who talk too much, people who are selfish, egotistical and ungrateful, but I won’t be surprised or disturbed for I couldn’t imagine a world without such people”.
Sometime ago, I was in a queue in a mall, waiting for my turn to pay when I overheard two young men in the same queue discussing and laughing out loud. One told the other that what worried him was not that a suspected fraudster attempted to defraud him but that his anger was how the suspected fraudster thought that his shallow and poorly garnished (senseless) kindergarten or empty, as well as antediluvian “format’, could be used to swindle him.
One of the young men hissed and declared: “These empty headed boys in the ‘street’ think that everyone is as senseless as them”.
Let’s come back to the said Communique by a ‘Committee Of Friends’ in Isuikwuato against His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.
The issue is not about anyone standing against the senator because every Citizen has the right to take a stand for or against a public office holder. The worry is rather about the emptiness, hypocrisy and irrationality attributable to the beer-parlour natured meeting of visionless local political merchants or retailers.
It could have been more honourable if the stomach-infrastructure driven village associates, (chaired by their naive leader), came together to eat jollof rice in plastic plates with each plate adored by a Cashew-seed Size of meat, singing “who-say-man-no-dey” hailing songs to hail their village headmaster.
If they did so and drank a bottle of beer each (which is their main Motivator for coming to such meetings), it would have made more sense than to start delving into a more serious political discuss. That should have been fairer, instead of over estimating themselves, trying to speak onbehalf of the whole people of Isuikwuato LGA.
That decision is to be taken by the generality of Abia North people, among which are the lovely, intelligent, politically informed and esteemed people of Isuikwuato LGA.
The people of Isuikwuato LGA, made up of ten INEC wards from Isuikwuato to Uturu, are politically enlightened and socially sound people who are not at the sea as to what they want. Isuikwuato people know what we want and we have been getting it.
2027 will not be any different.
Isuikwuato people are not the class or breed of electorates that you can delude with the instrumentality of jollof rice and beer.
The generality of the people of this LGA and our great sons and daughters are in tune with the times and will do the right thing at the right time to ensure that we are not taken backwards in the next dispensation.
We are also aware that Senator Orji Uzor Kalu is more concerned about continuing to make indelible mark in Abia North in general and Isuikwuato LGA in particular such that our zone will continue to set the standard for others to copy.
Recall that: “The greatest use of life is to spend it for something that will outlast it”- William James.
It is a popular knowing that top among the Principal qualities that Isuikwuato LGA is known for are their selflessness, liberal-mindedness and hospitality.
Consequently, the people of Isuikwuato LGA cannot be deceived by a few selfish and low-level (still naive) “who-say-man-no-dey” grade of amateur politicians.
My loving people cannot be “April-fooled” (even though this is July) by a handfull of local league “na-you-we-known” boys. I am talking about boys whose Stock-in-trade was to frequently go gossiping to their god fathers in the political party Where they were, not-too-long-ago.
All they knew (and still know) is to keep Crucifying fellow kinsmen and getting crumbs as honorarium.
For sure, their fees use to come almost regularly but in stepends as honorarium. Yes, they must make-up or manufacture one gossip or the other each day to get a daily pay or one little appointment or the other.
When their consciencelessness thrived in the past years, they did not Care wether they sold a whole people just to get a pinch of favour. The more the gossips & slander, the more regular the fragments of stepends they got.
In elementary mathematics, it can be said that: “the increase of the Stepend is directly proportional to the increase in the inflow of gossips and praise singing”.
Now that the gossips are no longer fetching proceeds, these village champions, praise singers cum local political merchants/retailers of gossips got out of job but just have to survive.
Little wonder they hurriedly tried to fabricate another brand of approach to continue to ‘survive’ and move on, hence this poorly Harnessed self-conflicting, fallacious and enigmatic Story-for-the-gods that gave rise to this their laughable Communique.
The truth is that they didn’t score any point by the empty Communique, better than the little attention they drew when people sought to know (from their headline) what the Communique was all about.
Disappointedly, the good people of Isuikwuato LGA who rushed at the story to know who and who are the authors of the Communique, just found out that it was as weightless as the falsehood in the Communique and as shallow-headed as the folks that came together, around a cooler of brown jollof rice to learn how to do a Communique.
Nothing in that piece had any impact on us here in Isuikwuato LGA as we know the man Senator Orji Uzor Kalu very well and we have records of the proceeds we have enjoyed and are still enjoying from his stewardship at the Senate.
Where do we start from?
Are we to talk about the roads he has built both in Isuikwuato and Uturu parts of the LGA?
Should we start highlighting the numerous people of this LGA that he has in his scholarship scheme or those he has super empowered?
What space will be enough for us to enumerate the many sick and hospitalised constituents that he paid their medical bills?
Should we start listing names of thousands that have reached out to him for solutions in one family challenge or the other, whom he has helped?
How can they think that they will be able to obliterate from our brains, the knowledge of the difference between an elected Executive office and a legislative office, and how the later promises better/bumper harvests for constituents each time the legislator increases in rank?
Of course our people know that the more high ranking our legislator is, the better for us because we will have more to benefit. Like wine, it is “the older the better”.
That is more when our Senator is a former governor, pan Nigerian brand, known (or famous ) and respected accross all states and zones of this country.
In the language of the ordinary man in the street, our Senator is one of the ‘Senior Men’ in this country.
He is one of the few goal getters here in the South East who can go to any ‘mountain’ or ‘skies’ and get any ‘trophy’ for his people. Let no one mince words, H/E Chief Orji Uzor Kalu is a giant here in the southeast and the nation at large hence his age-long goodwill and fellowship accross the entire country is to the advantage of Abia North and Isuikwuato LGA in particular.
The people of Isuikwuato LGA know this very well and have not forgotten that many zones in Nigeria still playfully describe our Senator as a “three-in-one” Senator.
Even some of his colleagues wonder how he manages to attract the magnitude of projects that he attracts.
Now you can understand that having a senator who has wide contacts in all institutions, Commissions, Ministries and agencies results to plenty take-home for his constituents.
The people of Isuikwuato LGA are aware of this too.
How about their intentionally used phrase ‘Third Term’? we understand why the authors of the Communique and their sponsors used it in a purpose-fashioned dimension. They used it as if it is the same as a case of an elected executive striving to do everything possible to go back to office for a third term just to stir sentiments in favour of their mischievous plans.
May I also reaffirm that the people of Isuikwuato LGA are sufficiently informed that any legislator representing us and doing invaluably well can be RE-ELECTED to the office to continue whatever exploits that he is already doing especially when there are potentials for him to do even better as his ranking status increases. He stops when majority of his constituents asks him to return.
This is the position of an average Isuikwuato man or woman, as well as our youths in 2027.
This has been echoed and reaffirmed in many formal/informal social, cultural and political fora.
Anyone from any LGA whatsoever recruiting amateurs in the percentage of less than 0.000001% of our people to do a poorly cooked communique, with junks being fired into the social media, has missed it.
The person/s should have been smarter than this laughable poorly cooked and dished Communique.
May it be well with Nigeria,
May it be well with Abia State,
May it be well with Abia North,
And
May it be well with Isuikwuato local Government Area.
